I love life! Of course, I just got back from a family vacation in Niagara Falls, Ontario last week, so it’s pretty hard NOT to be loving life. In this picture, I’m with my daughter and cousin-in-law on a terrace at the Riverview Restaurant overlooking the Horseshoe Falls. We are sipping tea, enjoying the spectacular view of the falls colored hot pink by powerful strobe lights (!), and anticipating the fireworks that originate from the American side every Friday night. I am basking in the glow of good conversation and uproarious laughter with loved ones. I am also trying to digest the VERY excellent dessert, “Chocolate Thunder.”
Blissful Bits
Soaking in the magnificence of one of the Natural Wonders of North America at night…
The roar of 4 million cubic feet of water falling every minute…
The feeling of my little girl’s soft skin as she bounces up and down on my lap with happiness…
My little one’s laughter and delight as she tastes chocolate fudge for the very first time…
That good belly-aching laughter that you can only achieve with your closest family and friends…
The color and brilliance of fireworks exploding in the night sky around you…
The sounds of The Proclaimer’s “I’m Gonna Be” blasting around you on a perfect summer evening (“I would walk 500 miles and I would walk 500 more, just to be the man…”)
That deep feeling of peace and relaxation that you feel when you are surrounded by people you love and who love you back!
