Moody Sisters Foaming Wash for face and body

Moody Sisters

I had the pleasure of trying out Moody Sisters Organic Skincare foaming wash for face and body!   The silver bottle showed an adorable little black cat as their logo.  I read the ingredients of:  Shea Butter Castile Soap, Honey, Green Tea, Witch hazel, Apple Cider Vinigar, Tea Tree Oil, Peppermint, Vitamin E, Essential Oils and Herbal Extracts and was glad to read ingredients that I could pronounce. I decided to try it out before bed. I wet my face and hands and pumped a small amount of the wash to my hand.  I scrubbed my hands together and the wash quickly turned to … Continue reading

5 Ways to Use Tea Tree Essential Oil

Melaleuca - tea tree.

Okay, I’m getting back on track with the blogging, hopefully. I’ve already shared how to use these other versatile essential oils – Lavender, Lemon, and Peppermint – and today, I will share about the ways that I like to use another excellent one, Tea Tree. The Tea Tree I am referring to is Melaleuca alternifolia, sometimes called Tea Tree Australia. This is not to be confused with Tea Tree New Zealand, or Leptospernum scoparium, sometimes also called Manuka. The theory behind the oil-based cleansing method seemed kind of counter-intuitive … Continue reading

Sunday Health Tip: How to Use a Dry Brush for a Good Immune System and Great Skin

For seven years I owned a wellness spa, and while it had its ups and downs, one of the “ups” was that I got daily lessons in natural health and learned easy, effective ways to support my immune system. One of my favorite techniques for immune system support was (and IS) dry brushing. In fact, dry brushing has so many benefits and is so good for the immune system that I mandated that all of my therapists perform this technique on clients as part of every body treatment that occurred at my spa! (In your mind, please play dramatic, triumphant … Continue reading

How to Make Cinnamon Lip Balm for Sexy Lips

As the harried Mom of an 11-month-old, I am definitely not feeling sexy these days. I look like a human kangaroo, what with my tummy still looking semi-pregnant and all, and my face evolving into a dermatological desert (which is what led me to write about how to make essential oil skin care blends in the first place). So I decided to dash off a quick post about what I do to feel sexy again. Very simply, I make some Cinnamon Lip Balm to give myself a pair of big, sultry, bee-stung lips. No collagen injections needed here! Remember when … Continue reading
