It seems birds like us, for when I went to the backyard to draw on the cement with my little girl today, I looked up into our patio umbrella and this beautiful sight greeted me: a robin red-breast had made her home there with her young. Later, after I went back into the house, I saw her little ones craning their necks toward her to feed. Blissful Bits – June 14, 2012

I love life! Of course, I just got back from a family vacation in Niagara Falls, Ontario last week, so it’s pretty hard NOT to be loving life. In this picture, I’m with my daughter and cousin-in-law on a terrace at the Riverview Restaurant overlooking the Horseshoe Falls. We are sipping tea, enjoying the spectacular view of the falls colored hot pink by powerful strobe lights (!), and anticipating the fireworks that originate from the American side every Friday night.
