I haven’t had much time to blog lately, but I did want to jot down this crazy-like-a-fox-good recipe for gluten-free blueberry muffins, in case I forget it. Basically, I found the original in this month’s Shape magazine, the one with Mariah Carey on the cover, and made a few modifications. It’s on page 157, called “Better Blueberry Muffins.” Here is what I used: 2 cups of The Gluten-Free Bistro’s Bistro Blend Flour 2 teaspoons baking powder 1/4 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon sea salt 3/4 cup sugar 1/4 cup canola oil 2 large eggs 1 cup unsweetened applesauce 1/2 cup … Continue reading
In my post last week, I complained of having thrown the kitchen sink at my 4-day-old sore throat, and asked for you to submit remedies that I hadn’t already captured. Hmm, sodium benzoate is the ingredient most of us holistic Mamas seek to avoid, and why we go and spend money on brands like California Baby in the first place. My eyebrows definitely went … Continue reading
As the harried Mom of an 11-month-old, I am definitely not feeling sexy these days. I look like a human kangaroo, what with my tummy still looking semi-pregnant and all, and my face evolving into a dermatological desert (which is what led me to write about how to make essential oil skin care blends in the first place). So I decided to dash off a quick post about what I do to feel sexy again. Very simply, I make some Cinnamon Lip Balm to give myself a pair of big, sultry, bee-stung lips. No collagen injections needed here! Remember when … Continue reading
