Is Amy Chua vindicated? Her daughter just got into Harvard.
Does Amy Chua have the last laugh, now that her daughter was accepted to Harvard? My FIRST reaction is, “No, what’s the big deal about getting into Harvard?” But that’s just because I’m jealous: I tried and tried, but I didn’t get into Harvard. And then I cried and cried. So secretly, I do think it’s a big deal to get into Harvard. Tiger mothers: adding my two cents
Many people have asked me whether Amy Chua’s article and her child-raising tactics applied to my life. I tell them a resounding, “YES,” with one big difference: my Tiger mother made Amy Chua look like a cub. My mother was ferocious…Amy Chua is almost sweet in comparison.
